Every picture tells a story .. the Looking at Leeds 2012 photography competition is looking for photographs of Leeds that capture its people, places, cultures and communities, writes Stephanie Hewitt of Leeds City Council.
The city has a huge range of events each year – from markets to parades, workshops to concerts, shows at the theatres to displays at museums and lots more – and as Leeds joins in with the Diamond Jubilee and Olympic celebrations this summer there is something taking place nearly every day, but can we capture what it means be in Leeds in 2012?
Closing on 31st July 2012, the competition is open to everyone and we have some fantastic prizes on offer.
