Leeds United legend Eddie Gray unveils mural

The mercurial Eddie Gray, member of the legendary Don Revie era of the 1960s and 70s, a Scottish International, who signed for Leeds United at the age of 16, revisited Elland Road on Friday (6 October 2023) for the unveiling of his long overdue mural on the side of the house opposite the Elland Road ticket office.

There was a good turnout to see Eddie, plenty of photos and handshakes from people who watched him in his heyday, especially remembering the moment when he scored against Burnley in 1970.

The Peacock pub, opposite the ground, was full of well-wishers from young and old alike, and I am sure Eddie loved every moment of the day.

A special mention must go to a few people from the Texas Leeds Supporters Group, who made the journey, just to be with Eddie on the day.

It was a memorable day for all.
