The Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair returns to the Leeds first direct arena next week, showcasing apprenticeship opportunities across the city.
The free-to-attend event, running from 1-7pm on Monday (5 February 2024), will feature over 100 exhibitors and employers offering apprenticeship information, advice, and live vacancies.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover more about the different types of apprenticeships, what they involve and how they work, including higher and degree apprenticeships.
Exhibitors include major Leeds employers and training providers from a wide range of sectors, such as accounting, business and administration, catering and hospitality, construction, creative design, care services, digital, education, engineering, finance, hair and beauty, health, law, protective services and many more.
Several exhibitors will also be giving talks on topics such as, how to apply for an apprenticeship, a parent’s guide to apprenticeships, and the power of virtual work experience.
Speaking ahead of the event, Councillor Jonathon Pryor, Deputy Leader of Leeds City Council and executive member for economy, culture, and education, said:
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome people back to the eleventh Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair. Over the years, this fair has aided the journey of thousands of people into highly skilled and rewarding careers.
“Leeds is the fastest growing city in England, and as a city, we continue to attract more quality employers each year. This is reflected by the wide range of different business sectors and the number of employers attending this year’s fair. Apprenticeships offer something for everyone, from hands-on learning to degree-level qualifications, and are a fantastic route into a wide range of careers.
“I would recommend anyone considering an apprenticeship to attend and find out more about opportunities in Leeds.”
Key exhibitors include Asda; Channel 4; Leeds City College; Jet 2; Transpennine Route Upgrade; Sulzer; GMI Construction; Royal Air Force; Leeds City Council; Gordons LLP; Leeds Beckett University; and the Yorkshire College of Beauty.
The event takes place at the Leeds first direct arena on Monday 5 February, between 1pm and 7pm. Attendance is free, and everyone is welcome. Tickets are available to book online in advance at: bit.ly/LARF24
