The 7th annual Christmas Lantern Festival took place this evening (13 December 2019) in Beeston’s Cross Flatts Park and was another great success.
Hundreds of families attended on the cold but mostly dry night to enjoy carols, live animals, a giant snow globe, the Junk Christmas Tree competition, a mini-orienteering challenge, food and much more.
The festival was led by the Salvation Army South Leeds Initiative, with fantastic support from the Church in LS11, Slung Low, local schools, South Leeds Lakers, SLATE, and others. The organisers thanked the Leeds City Council Inner South Community Committee for their generous sponsorship.
