Join the Rugby League World Cup Family Fun Day

 

Rugby_league_world_cup_logoJoin a unique new festival in south Leeds, to celebrate the launch of this year’s Rugby League World Cup in England and Wales. This event is FREE and for EVERYONE – whether you’re interested in rugby, or just want a good day out!

The event on Saturday 26th October is taking place at at The South Leeds Academy and runs from 10am to 5pm.

Activities for all ages will run from 10am, including: rugby, music, inflatables, games, face-painting, lots of food, arts, and much more. The event’s happening indoors and outdoors, so it’ll be a great day whatever the weather!

There will then be a big live screening of the opening World Cup match, England vs Australia, at 2.30pm.

The event has been organised by a wide range of local rugby clubs and community organisations: Hunslet Hawks, the Salvation Army South Leeds Initiative, Beeston Broncos, Hunslet Warriors, the Hunslet Club, Kashmiri Muslim Welfare Association (Beeston), Inter-Active sports project, Hunslet Festival/Gala, Beeston Festival, and Leeds City Council.
