Police in Hunslet have issued this appeal over an attempted bag snatch:
On Thursday 15 March at around 2.40pm a woman waiting to collect her child from school on Joseph Street, Hunslet was approached by two boys, who asked her the time. As the woman looked at her mobile phone to check the time one of the youths attempted to grab her bag, which was on the floor at her feet. Fortunately the woman’s reactions were very quick and she managed to snatch the bag out of the male’s grasp, but as she did so she dropped her phone causing the screen to smash.
The boys were described as both aged 14, both medium build. One boy had short, fair hair and was wearing a white tracksuit top. The other had darker hair and was wearing a darker tracksuit top, possibly Adidas.
