The new Hunslet Club Dance Troupe is set to make it’s first performance at the internationally renowned Leeds Light Night Festival on Friday October 5th. You can see their 10 minute routine on the steps of Leeds Town Hall at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 or 8:30pm. Directions here.
For just one night each year, the city’s artists, makers and performers get together to transform our familiar streets and buildings in an unforgettable evening of exhibitions, installations and events. The theme for the festival this year is “dead of night”. With this in mind, based on their scariest imaginings, our troupe performs a spooky dance. Witness the more frightening things children dream about happening in the dead of night.
“We feel priviledged to have been selected to perform at this popular festival on the Leeds cultural calendar” says Phillipa Ranger, Arts Development Worker. “Our dancers are really looking forward to premiering their first performance together.”
If you have not been to Light Night before, then you should make a point of coming along, it is always creative and inspiring.
