High numbers of people flocked to Elland Road at the beginning of July as Leeds Health & Healing Festival made it’s annual return to the South Leeds area.
Taking place over the 6th & 7th July customers could walk round and enjoy the stalls while listening to gentle music or take a seat and watch performances from companies such as the Nia dance troupe.
There were also talks from key speakers such as Renee Maguire, owner of Raw Chi Foods, a diet based around the nutritional value of raw chocolate. Not to mention the chance to taste some of her products.
Also on offer was the opportunity to take advantage of the many Complimentary Therapies on offer including Sally Chaffer’s Reiki stall. Taking to her she was thrilled by the amount of people visiting the festival and her appointment book was full for the whole weekend.
Leeds has a long history of this type of event with psychic fairs being very popular in the late 1980’s at the former Golden Lion hotel. These days however the psychics are mixed in with stalls advertising diet & nutrition, exercise such as yoga and tai chi as well as complimentary therapies such as Reiki.
