Leeds City Council is consulting on a draft Neighbourhood Framework for Middleton and Belle Isle, which will capture the community’s vision and help shape the future of Middleton and Belle Isle.
The Framework, which has been worked on by the Council and residents, will govern how the area is developed and covers issues such as transport, schools and shops as well as housing development.
Two drop in events are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday when residents can see the draft plan, make comments and raise the issues that they feel are important.
- Monday 25th March – Middleton Community Centre, Middleton Park Avenue, 2:00 – 6:00pm
- Tuesday 26th March – BITMO Housing Office, Belle Isle Road, 2:00 – 5:00pm
The area covered by the plan is From Thorpe Lane in the south, up to the M621 motorway in the north, and from the Leeds-Wakefield railway line to the west, to the M1 motorway to the east.
More details about the proposals are available on the Leeds City Council website.
