Middleton Park is not only a place to walk your dog, it welcomes horse riders, footpath walkers, joggers and coffee drinkers alike. The excellent visitors centre makes a good target to start exploring, serving hot drinks – really welcome on a chilly day and the well signposted paths and tracks lead you on around the huge acres. There are very many tree species to identify by bark or leaf, grasses and wild flowers and, if you are quiet, many birds around the trees or on the ground and in the lake.
One dog walker said how safe the area felt and how relaxing, especially on a sunny day in autumn. Her dog looked happy and full of beans too.
