St Luke’s CARES and South Leeds Life were delighted with the 23 applications (and a late entry, but too late unfortunately!) hoping to win a Community Award of up to £1,000.
The entries demonstrated the wealth of brilliant projects doing some really valuable work in South Leeds. There is a lot to celebrate and shout about in South Leeds, and those articles are proof! Thank for your your entries.
The next step is the 23 articles will be shortlisted down to 5. An independent panel has been nominated and is convening this week to shortlist. They are:
- Ian Rodley, Director of Dance Action Zone Leeds (DAZL)
- Cllr Adam Ogilvie (Beeston & Holbeck ward)
- Rachel Jenkins, volunteer at St Luke’s CARES charity shop in Middleton and
- Kaytlin Thompson, nail and beauty artist at The Shine Nail Bar.
The panel faces a tough challenge choosing their top five, but once they have chosen then it’s down to shoppers at St Luke’s CARES Dewsbury Road store to vote for their top 3!
Thank you to all those who have taken part (see below) and good luck!
