Friends of Middleton Park are having an apple pressing day at the Visitor Centre in Middleton Park, on Sunday (19 October 2025) from 2-4pm. It’s a free family event, and there is no booking required. Children will have to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
There will be lots of apples and pears provided, but feel free to bring your own – please wash them before bringing. And please, no shop-bought fruit.
The garden crop for apples and other fruit has been exceptional this year, and this is an ideal way to to make use of them. There will be apple and pear juice to taste, and hopefully there will be enough left to take away, so please bring a bottle.
There will be free facepainting, and apple themed picture colouring for children, and a few different apple varieties to taste.
The Visitor Centre is accessed off Town Street, LS10 3SH.
