Muhammad AZEEM
Workers Party
(address in the Leeds South Constituency)
Hilary James BENN
(address in the Leeds South Constituency)
As your MP, I have always worked hard to look after you – taking up thousands of problems – and I promise to be there for you when you need me. I believe in getting things done, as well as being a strong national voice for our community.
After 14 years of Conservative Government, bills and taxes are up, wages have been squeezed, NHS waiting times have soared and nothing seems to be working.
Our country needs change so that it serves once again the interests of working people. Labour will prioritise stability and we have a fully-costed plan to:
- Cut NHS waiting times at hospitals like Jimmy’s and the LGI
- Tackle anti-social behaviour with more police and PCSOs on the beat in Leeds
- Set up Great British Energy to bring bills down, paid for by a windfall tax on the energy companies
- Create a new Border Security Command to smash the criminal boat gangs
- Recruit more specialist teachers and provide free breakfast clubs in every primary school
- Boost business in Yorkshire so we can get the economy growing.
The 4th July is our chance to vote for the change our country needs.
Janet BICKERDIKE
(address in the Leeds South West and Morley Constituency)
My name is Janet Bickerdike; I am the Christian Peoples Alliance candidate for Leeds South constituency. A happily married woman of 31 years with two grown children. I was a local authority carer for 14 years and in this time I had 35 children placed into our families care. I also work in the social sector looking after the elderly and disabled.
The reason I am standing in the election is because I have first-hand knowledge of the harm that successive governments have caused to this nation by the callous destruction of the family structure through its woke agenda in both the workplace and education that penalises the biblical concept of Men, Woman and children I am also a supporter of Brexit which would allow us to rebuild our country into a great Christian nation once more, if ever the right party gained power.
The reason I am standing for this party is due to our stance on family values and the economic plan we have in our fully costed manifesto to do so. I believe that only our party is willing to build a supportive structure for the family where all life matters, from conception to natural death.
Ed CARLISLE
153 Beeston Road, Leeds, LS11 6AW
Ed has lived, worked, and volunteered around south Leeds for 20+ years. He’s the Green Party councillor for Hunslet and Riverside.
He’s co-led dozens of local organisations, events, and campaigns, including: the Big Bike Fix, Holbeck Viaduct, Beeston Festival, Leeds Repair Café, Cross Flatts parkrun, Same Skies think tank, and Together for Peace.
He’s also involved in year-round schools and youth work, community sports, environmental campaigns, inter-community dialogue, charity volunteering, and grassroots support and advocacy work with residents.
The Green Party is a fast-growing alternative to the big old parties, committed to social justice, community wellbeing, and tackling the climate crisis.
Priorities for Ed include:
- affordable homes;
- kickstarting a green industrial revolution;
- better public transport;
- defending the NHS, and bringing key industries back into public control;
- an immediate ceasefire and a just peace for Palestine and Israel;
- proper regional devolution;
- upgrading our outdated voting system;
- fairer taxation;
- and supporting independent business.
The Greens came solid 2nd across this constituency in the recent Local Elections. The Conservatives stand zero chance here, so no need to vote ‘tactically’. We are the positive local alternative to Labour.

George SYKES

Daniel Paul WHETSTONE
(address in Leeds)
I have lived in Leeds all my life and been a South Leeds resident for nearly 15 years. I’m a family man with strong family values, a big sports fan, supporting most of the cities teams.
I’m NOT a professional politician, I’m a teaching assistant who works SEN children and I have done that for over a decade.
I try to support my community where I can; I have volunteered for several different community groups, from amateur sports clubs to mental health support groups.
As Chairman for Yorkshire I have been heavily involved in many campaigns and success and I am very proud of what has been achieved and the standards set by our elected officials. Something with your help we can extend to a higher level.
As a local resident, I share in the daily struggles we all experience, from the poor standards of the roads, to the long delays from extensive works carried out at the same time, the poor planning and the loss of services and bus routes. The lack of investment and economic opportunities available to us and our children.
All these things can be improved, by someone who cares and is willing to work at it!
