This week (Monday 17 – Friday 21 September 2018) Duftons Plumbing and Heating Supplies are holding a Charity Trade Week, in aid of Candlelighters, a children’s Cancer charity who support children and their families throughout Yorkshire who are affected by Childhood Cancer.
They have organised a bumper week of fundraising at all 7 of their stores across Yorkshire, including their Beeston branch at Lenton drive on the Parkside Industrial Estate, off Dewsbury Road. Activities will include a raffle with fantastic with prizes ranging from wine to an Apple Watch; there will even be the opportunity to pie their staff members! As well as this, there will be some fantastic offers in store, with a percentage of some items being donated to the charity.
In previous years, Duftons managed to raise £11,500 in total and they are hoping to do even better this year by raising over £12,000! They have 7 branches located in Leeds, Beeston, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Castleford, Halifax and Harrogate, and are forever growing, so wherever you are in West Yorkshire you’re always close to a Duftons!
Nigel Fowler, Managing Director of Duftons Plumbing and Heating Supplies said:
“We are proud to be supporting such an amazing local charity, helping families across Yorkshire. We have lots of events going on during the week including a customer van wash day across our branch network, in addition to this we are auctioning off a brand new Ideal Instinct combination boiler and some of our staff are also having their heads shaved. I am very pleased to announce that whatever figure we manage to raise, Duftons will match the total! We look forward to a great week with lots of fun.”
Amy Harrison, Corporate Fundraiser for Candlelighters added:
“It was fantastic to meet Alice and Laura from Duftons Plumbing and Heating Supplies to help plan their amazing week of fundraising this month. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Week, so it could not be better timed and will help us spread much needed awareness of our work.
“This is a great example of local businesses getting behind our charity, and doing something incredible to support families affected by Childhood cancer within our community.”
