Don’t be scared of the dark

The darker days are with us, and this is the time that more people, man and women start to feel a bit more vulnerable.

Middleton Leisure Centre is holding a one-off two hour Self Protection course, open to anyone over 16 years old.The training runs on Thursday (13 November 2025) from 6-8pm.

This is not about physical techniques, this is about learning how to increase your awareness and confidence, based on real experience. This course covers topics not found on any other self defence course. Specially created to deliver, what you need to know, such as:

  • How to become a harder target
  • What to do if in a confrontation
  • Gives you a clear understanding of the Law
  • And probably the one course that will teach you how to overcome your fear

It’s not about fitness, there’s no physical training, just real no nonsense content.

The course is run by Just Self Defence

There’s only 12 places, contact Middleton Leisure Centre or email justselfdefence@gmail.com to register.
