Cockburn Laurence Calvert Academy got language learning off to a flying start this academic year as they celebrated European Day of Languages on 26 September.
Students have been engaging in the Spanish curriculum, celebrating the range and diversity of languages spoken throughout Europe and spoken in school.
Year 10 student Gracie said,
“Learning a language is a life skill that not only allows students to talk with people from other countries in their own language, but also gives us an introduction to different cultures, different ideas and opens up a world of opportunities.”
Mrs Smith, Head of School said:
“This has been an excellent opportunity to celebrate culture and diversity and I am very proud of how our students have been so positive and resilient in their Spanish lessons.”
