Creating Community in Hunslet through crafts

Creating Community Hunslet: Crafting Connections at Hunslet Library

A new wave of creativity and connection swept through Hunslet Library on Wednesday (4 February 2026) as Creating Community Hunslet officially launched its weekly crafting group. The event drew a lively crowd of locals eager to stitch, glue, and chat their way into a new community rhythm.

Led by Hayley, a talented and welcoming crafter, the session offered gentle guidance and creative tips for all skill levels. Whether attendees were seasoned makers or complete beginners, everyone found a warm seat at the table — complete with tea, coffee, biscuits, and plenty of laughter.

The afternoon ran smoothly, with a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged conversation and collaboration. The wide range of materials and friendly faces made it clear: this wasn’t just about crafts, it was about connection.

Creating Community Hunslet now meets every Wednesday from 2-4pm at Hunslet Library (LS10 2NS). All are welcome — just bring your curiosity and a willingness to share in something new!
