With their programme of Sunday Bands starting on Sunday (17 June 2018), the Friends of Cross Flatts Park have rescheduled their popular Annual Beeston
Dog Show to Sunday 8 July.
The show includes pedigree classes such as hounds and terriers as well as fun classes like the dog with the waggiest tail. There are also classes for puppies (6-12 months) and rescue or former stray dogs.
Registration starts at 1:30pm and the show starts at 2:30pm on Sunday 8 July. The entry fee is £3 per dog per class.
The fantastic and versatile Celtic Productions with lead singer, Chris Kelly, will also be performing on that day and as with all the concerts, the café will be open for drinks and home made cake.
Before that, this Sunday (17 June) Birds and Beasts – a four piece from Huddersfield – will be performing. “Birds and Beasts display a natural instinct for memorable pop music … these songs get under your skin.”
And Sunday 24 July sees the return of the ever popular Carribbeans steel band with their lilting versions of your favourite songs.
All three concerts take place at the Watsonian Pavilion near the top of the park, starting at 2:30pm and finishing at 4:30pm. There will also be bric-a-brac and book stalls and craft activities for children.
