This week is Volunteers’ Week and South Leeds charity St Luke’s CARES is holding a celebration event at their Dewsbury Road shop on Friday (2 June 2017).
The event runs from 11am-2pm and will include food and live music, as well as the chance to find out more about volunteering opportunities at St Luke’s charity shops and other projects.
The shop is also the base for their very successful Retail Skills Course. Combined with in house training in the busy charity shop on Dewsbury Road Beeston, it helps gives people the opportunity to contribute to their community as well as gaining new skills and a qualification. The course is a certified Level One qualification in Skills for Further Learning and Employment Level One.
