A popular mums and toddlers group in South Leeds has received a welcome funding boost, thanks to local councillors.
The money will enable City Tots, based at the City Evangelical Church in Holbeck to continue promoting a safe environment for children to learn and parents to meet.
Councillor Angela Gabriel (Labour, Beeston and Holbeck) and her colleagues have agreed £326 funding from the South Inner Area Management Committee to fund a kitchen revamp and new equipment for the centre.
The local councillor is full of praise for City Tots and the work it does for children and parents throughout the Beeston and Holbeck area.
Councillor Gabriel said:
“As a member of the area committee, I am delighted we have been able to fund this kitchen revamp and new equipment for City Tots.
“The Beeston and Holbeck based group allows up to 30 toddlers and babies a place to play once a week and really does promote a good neighbourhood network for local parents to catch up and keep up to date with what is happening in their community.
“The group is run by volunteers who attend the City Evangelical Church and it is a pleasure to see that through their dedication, they are helping to improve the quality of life for residents in our community.”
