I was walking at the bottom of Belle Isle Road and took a snap of what is obviously an old advert for something called ‘bile beans’.
It’s great to see part of the area’s history still on show for everyone to see even today.
Being aged under 40, I’ve no idea what bile beans are. Were they advertising a local shop that was there years ago? Can anyone shed any light on it? Post your comments below.
