Beeston Councillor unveils care home refurbishment

Local ward councillor Shaf Ali recently visited Sunnyview House care home, which provides care and support to around 80 residents, and officially opened the newly refurbished upper-floor wing, Roundhay.

Councillor Ali praised the refurbishment as a significant enhancement to the home, highlighting how the improved facilities will further support residents and contribute to the high standard of care already being delivered.

Councillor Shaf Ali (Labour, Beeston and Holbeck) said:

“Sunnyview House Care Home has a warm, welcoming and truly homely atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and professional, making residents and visitors feel comfortable and valued. It is clear that a great deal of care, compassion and commitment goes into the day-to-day running of the home.”

Councillor Ali also paid tribute to David Anyakwo for his leadership and dedication, noting that his hard work is clearly reflected in the positive and supportive environment within the home. He extended his sincere thanks to all staff for their tireless efforts in caring for residents and supporting the wider community.

Councillor Ali added:

“Care homes play a vital role in our neighbourhoods. It was uplifting to see such high standards of care being delivered locally, and I am pleased to see continued investment in facilities that enhance residents’ quality of life.”
