The Friends of Cross Flatts Park have announced their programme of Bands in the Park for 2017. The run kicks off on Sunday (11 June 2017) with The Caribbeans steel band.
Sunday 18 June sees folk musicians Alistair Russell and Chris Parkinson. They are followed on 25 June by Swing of Things who will perform whilst the annual dog show takes place. Mestisa will bring the sounds of South America to Beeston on 2 July.
The concerts finish on 9 July when the Dr Reelgood ceilidh dance band will perform with a caller for those who want to join in the dances.
Each free concert runs from 2:30-4:30pm at the Watsonian Pavilion. The cafe is open for tea and cakes and children’s craft activities are provided.
