Breeze has Talent, the entertainment showcase for young people in Leeds, is back for 2020 despite the coronavirus outbreak.
The competition has launched its audition section online and is open to any kind of talent. It could be singing, playing an instrument, you could be in a band, be a dancer, perform circus skills gymnastics, magic, spoken word poetry or anything else you can think of.
Young musicians, dancers and singers, etc are invited to submit a video of their performance by 30 June.
Breeze has Talent is a talent competition for young people aged between 8–18. Now in its 13th year, Breeze has Talent has given almost 1,000 children and young people in Leeds the chance to shine and, for many winners, a stepping stone to greater things. Breeze has Talent has also become a regular point of call for the organisers of Britain’s Got Talent, The X Factor and now The Voice Kids UK.
The winner of Breeze has Talent will perform live on stage at the Leeds Christmas Lights switch on! The winners will also receive prizes worth £300 – the 2nd Place act will receive prizes worth £200 – and the 3rd Place act will receive prizes worth £100.
All Breeze Has Talent finalists have the opportunity to attend a boot camp weekender with professional artists to mentor them and will also have the opportunity to perform at other Breeze events, such as local Christmas light switch-on events, Breeze in the Park, Mini Breeze and The Christmas Experience at Lotherton Hall.
Organisers are uncertain how the heats and finals will be run at this stage and are watching government advice on how they proceed in the best and safest way.
