Carol Hirst, is a member of Middleton Elderly Aid‘s Arm in Arm Walking Group. The group walk from Middleton Elderly Aid’s Social Centre on Acre Road every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30pm for a two hour walk.
Carol says:
“I have resumed my walks with the Arm in Arm Walking Group from Middleton Elderly Aid, after being ill for some time.
“I really enjoy being able to go back on the walk. I’m unable to do the full walk as yet, but hopeful to do so soon.
“I join the walk at Middleton Park gates, (my husband drops me off) and again my husband, Mel, picks me up at the Café car park to take me home.
“I enjoy the walk, and it is so good for making new friends. I love the fresh air and at the end of the walk we have lovely snacks and hot drinks at the Leeds Urban Bike Hub café, served by Nicola, Alicia and staff. They do smashing cakes, sandwiches, special coffees, hot chocolate and meals. So, all the calories I’ve put on I can now walk off!”
