Aire Park selected as Yorkshire HQ for growing consultancy

Leeds’ new 24-acre mixed-use district, Aire Park (the former Tetleys brewery site) is set to welcome leading multidisciplinary built environment consultancy, Ridge and Partners to 1 South Brook Street.

Following continued growth at the firm, which employs 65 people in Leeds, it will relocate from Brewery Wharf to take 6,930 sq ft across the seventh floor within Aire Park’s first phase of commercial development, overlooking the evolving 8-acre public park.

This move is a recommitment to the city which has supported Ridge and Partners’ growth following its 2021 acquisition of Leeds-based consultancy Projex Building Solutions. The firm which boasts a variety of specialisms including project management, sustainability, mechanical and electrical, and structural and civil engineering, has an even split across both public and private sector projects.

Ridge and Partners is the latest addition of leading businesses to locate to what is quickly becoming Leeds’ premiere business address, with international engineering firm Jacobs and leading rail operator Northern both having recently taken space in neighbouring 3 South Brook Street and Eversheds Sutherland confirmed as occupiers for the development’s new Kellstone building. The growing community also includes legal firm Devonshires, pensions provider TPT, investing platform interactive investor.

South Brook Street, the commercial district within Vastint UK’s regeneration of the former Tetley brewery site, is being designed with ESG at its heart with all the buildings targeting BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certifications, an EPC A rating and Platinum WELL accreditations.

Vastint UK’s vision for the site goes beyond bricks and mortar, focusing on not just creating best in class spaces for occupiers but developing opportunities for them to become part of its ambitious mixed-use community, which is centred around the UK’s largest new city centre green space.

The Aire Park development as a whole will span 24 acres of the city’s South Bank, delivering an expansive eight-acre public park, over 1 million sq ft of commercial space and over 1,350 high-quality homes with easy access to Leeds city centre and convenient routes to the train station in only seven minutes.
