A new community space for Belle Isle

People Matters, a local disability charity with nearly 50 staff, and about 400 members is planning to relocate within South Leeds, can you help?

Having been based in Holbeck for over 14 years it is time for the charity to move on to a building that better suits everyone’s needs.

A proposed new site has been found within Belle Isle and the charity wants to make changes to the new base in a way that will work for its members, volunteers and staff but also be open to local residents too.

The building they have found is bigger than they need so offers local residents and groups the potential option to make use of the space too. Do you want to find out more and have a say?

A local volunteer resident and someone from an existing local community group in the Belle Isle area are being sought to attend a meeting approximately every 6 weeks for the next few months to help design and influence building changes alongside the People Matters team.
