Your local councillors from the three wards in inner south Leeds – Beeston and Holbeck, City and Hunslet and Middleton Park – are set to meet tonight to discuss local issues.
The Inner South Area Committee is meeting at St Matthew’s Community Centre in Holbeck tonight at 6.30pm. On the agenda is an update on the development of a new pedestrian entrance to the South of Leeds railway station, known as Leeds Station Southern Entrance.
In a South Leeds Life poll last December, 75% of readers who responded said they’d find the station easier to get to, although the comments posted on another SLL article the same day were rather more scathing about the multi-million pound project.
Councillors will also hear an update on the merger between Leeds City College and Joseph Priestley College.
The meeting offers the chance to see your councillors at work in person. There is an open forum section where you can raise issues of your own,
