The Hunslet Rugby Foundation in association with the Garden Gate will open a second heritage room dedicated to the history of Hunslet Rugby League on Wednesday (17 December 2014).
The second “Hunslet Rugby League Remembered” Heritage Room will be officially opened at 12 noon on Wednesday at The Garden Gate, 3 Whitfield Place, Hunslet, Leeds, LS10 2QB.
The second room at the Garden Gate will bring the Clubs history timeline up to date and incorporate the Hunslet Rugby League Hall of Fame. The second room will consist of Time Boards 1974 – 1995 and 1996 – 2014 featuring the following club legends:
- Albert Goldthorpe
- Jack Walkington
- Alf Burnell
- Geoff Gunney
- Dennis Hartley
- Brian Gabbitas
- Bill Ramsey
- Graham King
- John Wolford
- James Lowes
To mark the event the first 100 pints will be just £1 each courtesy of The Garden Gate and Leeds Brewery.
There is a long list of invitees including local councillors, club officials and sponsors, but organisers also want to see as many Hunslet fans as possible coming along.
