Skopes celebrates first birthday for flagship White Rose store

Leading UK menswear brand, Skopes, is celebrating one year since it opened its 20th, and largest, bricks-and-mortar store in the White Rose Shopping Centre.

The first birthday for the White Rose store provides an opportunity for the in-store team and customers to celebrate Skopes’ return to its hometown. The store will see a weekend of planned celebrations, including biscuits, balloons, tape measure giveaways and discounts throughout the store. Ahead of the celebratory weekend in store, players from Leeds Rhinos’ first team will be instore at the White Rose 6-7pm today (Wednesday 24 September 2025), sporting their Skopes suits, with giveaways from the club and 20% discount available to those wearing Leeds Rhinos colours.

September 2024 saw a grand opening celebration for Skopes with Leeds sporting legends from the Rhinos and Leeds United teams in attendance. Skopes CEO Simon Cope officially opened the store together with brand ambassador and TV star Matt Jameson and Leeds sporting legends Kevin Sinfield CBE, Noel Whelan and Ross McCormack.

The 3,800 sq. ft flagship, hometown store was designed with customers at its heart, with the design team adding informal dwell spaces for their team to chat with customers and get to know their personality, to understand their needs. Skopes’ store also offers a full range of menswear, including suits, outerwear, shirts, footwear and accessories in a variety of styles, fits, and colours as well as plus sizing up to a 62 in chest.

Since opening the store in 2024, Skopes have also become the official tailoring partner of Leeds Rhinos, further cementing their homecoming and showcasing their commitment to local partnerships.

Skopes continues to support Leeds-based charity Homeless Street Angels and has been headline sponsor for the St Gemma’s Hospice iconic Winter Ball for the past 2 years.

Simon Cope, third-generation CEO of Skopes, commented:

“We were incredibly proud to launch our store at the White Rose Shopping Centre last year, and since we launched, we’ve been thrilled with the number of people who’ve come down to get the full in-store experience. Our store manager Mandy and the team have done a phenomenal job in our first year of trading. The welcome and support we’ve had from the White Rose Shopping Centre team and everyone at Leeds Rhinos, for both our launch and birthday celebrations, has also been very much appreciated.

“Our hometown has given us the opportunity to showcase our full range of clothing, footwear and accessories and to connect with our local customers in a special way. It’s also testament to the work of our in-store team why customers keep visiting us to get their suits year-round.”

Skopes’ birthday weekend celebration runs in-store Friday 26 until Sunday 28 September, with refreshments, in-store giveaways and discounts across their product range.
