Mammoth youth rugby festival is set for success

Hundreds of young rugby players line up in front of the rugby posts at Hunslet Warriors

Fifty-seven teams from 25 amateur clubs will convene in south Leeds on Sunday 6 August 2023 for the second Hunslet Foundation and Luke Gale Academy Summer Festival.

The event will take place at Leeds Corinthians RUFC (formerly the famous Nutty Slack home of the Middleton Arms and Thorpe open age amateur Rugby League outfits) and promises to be even bigger and better than the one held last year at Hunslet Warriors, which was hailed as a resounding triumph.

Mikey Nuttall, General Manager of the Hunslet Foundation, said:

“The day should be a cracker, we have plenty of special guests and also lots of family activities on including live music.”

Clubs booked to take part in the festival are:

  • Beverley Braves
  • Cutsyke Raiders
  • Elland
  • Farnley Falcons
  • Goole Vikings
  • Heworth
  • Hull Dockers
  • Hunslet Amateurs
  • Keighley Albion
  • King Cross Park
  • Kippax Welfare
  • Lambwath Lions
