My Future is a new and exciting project set up to support and develop a network of Peer Support Work Clubs for people with learning disabilities.
The clubs will use a variety of Health For All’s centres in south Leeds, including the Watsonia Café, Cranmore & Raylands Community Centre and Beeston Village Community Centre.
The Work Clubs will provide a space for people with learning disabilities to meet with their peers, share their aspirations and goals, and to help build confidence and awareness around gaining employment. The work clubs will also provide access to practical help such as access to IT to find and complete job applications, and to receive peer support and encouragement in their journey towards employment.
Health For All will be delivering My Future project in partnership with Better Action for Families (BAFF), and both services will provide opportunities for volunteering and work placements, working together to raise the profile of the value of learning disabled employees.
