White Rose shoppers show their generosity

White Rose Shopping Centre and Heart Yorkshire Become Santa’s Little Helpers as Shoppers Buy Gifts for A Deserving Child This Christmas

White Rose Shopping Centre in association with Heart Yorkshire are encouraging shoppers to buy a gift for a deserving child this Christmas.

Until Sunday (18 December 2016), the Heart Angels will be trading their halos for elf hats and managing the collection of shoppers’ gifts for local charities Kids Klub and Yorkshire Children’s Trust. The gifts will be a wonderful surprise for children who otherwise might not get any gifts under the Christmas tree this year.

White Rose shoppers have been so generous since the campaign’s launch earlier this month that the centre and the Heart Angels have begun distributing gifts to the two chosen charities earlier than planned – an incredible feat benefitting some very worthwhile causes.

Francesca Simpson, Marketing Manager at White Rose Shopping Centre, said:

“It’s been heartwarming to see our customers take so well to the giving initiative – it’s so simple to pick up an extra gift while you’re doing your Christmas shopping in the centre, and there are so many stores to choose from.  We’ve already seen the difference these gifts can make, and we’re looking forward to helping put smiles on many more local children’s faces this Christmas”

Laura Busson, Programme Controller for Heart Yorkshire said: “We’re so thrilled to be involved with such a worthwhile project this Christmas. We can’t wait to get cracking and help spread some festive cheer to those who need it most and right here in Yorkshire.”

White Rose Shopping Centre and Heart Yorkshire have chosen two charities, Kids Klub and Yorkshire Children Trust to benefit from this campaign. Gifts can be dropped off at Heart’s Donation Station within White Rose Shopping Centre during the extended Christmas opening hours until Sunday 18 December.
