We start once again in Cross Flatts Park where the Watsonia Café is hosting a table top sale on Saturday morning from 9am-1pm.
There are coffee mornings at both St Mary’s church on Town Street in Beeston and Hunslet Methodist Church on Telford Terrace, off Balm Road. Both run 10am-12pm.
Our Future Beeston are looking for help to clear a binyard on the Marleys on Saturday morning from 10am.
Hunslet Tenants & Residents Association will be running their information desk on Church Street on Saturday morning from 11am where you can find out about their many activities … including their weekly family litter pick on Sundays 12-1:30pm meeting at the Church of the Nazarene on Lupton Street. Equipment and refreshments are provided and its open to all ages, but children are asked to bring an adult.
If boards games are your thing, pop in to The Holbeck on Saturday evening from 7pm. Come play an old favourite or learn something new. Organised by Cards Or Die.
On Sunday afternoon Friends of Middleton Park are leading a local history walk around the park on the theme of transport. Meet at the Visitor Centre by the lake at 1:30pm.
There are two chances to meet PCSOs from the Neighbourhood Policing Team over a cuppa. They will be at Hunslet Community Hub & Library on Tuesday 10am-12pm and then at Dewsbury Road Community Hub & Library on Wednesday 10am-12pm.
Beeston & Holbeck Ward Councillors will be holding their monthly surgeries on Friday as follows: 4pm at Beeston Community Hub & Library, Town Street; 5pm at The Holbeck, Jenkinson Lawn; and 6pm at Cottingley Community Centre.
