What’s On Roundup: 14-20 December 2019

Here’s a roundup of some the main events taking place over the coming week in South Leeds. For full listings go over to our What’s On calendar here.

If you haven’t booked your tickets for Middleton Railway’s Santa Specials, you are too late. All the trains up to Christmas are all sold out.

The legendary Slung Low Christmas Fayre takes place at The Holbeck club on Saturday, 12-4pm. There will be a hog roast (and vegan option) craft stalls and a performance by The Holbeck Choir amongst other attractions.

Leeds United entertain Cardiff City on Saturday, kick off 3pm. If you live near the ground you can expect traffic congestion before and after the match.

Leeds Dads meeting on Sunday at The Holbeck club, 2-4pm, targeting dads and their pre-school children, it’s great fun in a supportive environment.

Tuesdays sees The Writers Club – a get together for aspiring creative writers – at Beeston Library, 1-2:30pm.

Sheaf Street Cafeteria on Crown Point Road host their After Work Wednesdays Open Mic night on … Wednesday, 6-11pm.

The Toy Library pays its monthly visit to St George’s community hub in Middleton on Thursday, 11:15am-12:15pm.

And finally, the last residents meeting of the year takes place at St Luke’s Primary School, 6pm for the area around Malvern Road.
