West Yorkshire Police are calling for assistance in tracing two potential victims of a robbery which occurred outside a community centre on St Matthew’s Street in Holbeck yesterday.

Two men were seen being approached by a man and a woman who assaulted them before taking their belongings. The two men are believed to have walked towards Top Moor Side, with one of the men supporting the other. One of the men may have also sustained facial injuries.

Officers investigating the incident are calling on the two men to come forward or for any information as to their identity. A 29 year old man and a 20 year old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in custody.

DC Richard Kelly of the Leeds District Crime Team said:

“It is important that we quickly contact the two men attacked, primarily to establish their welfare and to ascertain if they require medical assistance.

“They may also be able to assist in our ongoing investigations around what is a serious incident. We have already made checks locally, but have not yet been able to identify or contact them. The pair are described as white and in their forties, both with short hair.

“I would urge these men to get in touch immediately and would also call on anyone who could help locate them to contact the non-emergency number 101 referencing log 1943 of 15/11.”
