Tracy’s charity boxing challenge for Kyle

South Leeds mum Tracy Asquith took up an unusual challenge to raise funds for the foundation set up in memory of her son, Kyle.

Tracy took to the ‘Ultimate Boxing Challenge’ – eight weeks of intense training, followed by three rounds in the ring. And she won her bout!

With the help of students at Cockburn School, who held a non-uniform day, she has reached her target of raising £1,000 for the Kyle Asquith Foundation.

Kyle, a pupil at Cockburn School, died tragically in 2013 after suffering a brain haemorrhage. In death Kyle helped save the lives of five people through organ donation.

The foundation was set up to support young students in the local community and raise funds for the NHS Blood and Transplant unit.

Tracy said she took up the challenge “because not only is Kyle my son he is also my hero.”
