Having little need to be in Holbeck, except those times I used the number 86 bus to go to Bramley and once to Pudsey, I didn’t see much of it. Moving house recently necessitated using buses going through Holbeck more often like the number 64 and 74 to town.
From 25th October, Belle Isle’s old library will be known as BITMO’s GATE. The tenant-led organisation, which manages almost 2,000 council houses in Belle Isle, chose the name at a recent Board meeting. The old library will now be known as BITMO’s GATE “a resource centre for Belle Isle”.
BITMO (Belle Isle Tenant Management Organisation) has recently taken the old Belle Isle library and turned it into a community facility.
