Sir Kevin Sinfield will be running through South Leeds on Wednesday (30 September 2026) as part his latest fundraising challenge – 7 in 7: The Grand Finale.
He is running between all the Super League grounds and he will be leaving Wakefield and running via Leeds and Bradford to Huddersfield on Wednesday. His route will also take him past Championship club Hunslet. He is due a rest stop on Middleton Grove at 10:13am.
Sir Kev will approach via Towcester Avenue, St George’s Road, Newhall Road, Winrose Drive, then through Middleton Park onto Middleton Grove. He will then continue via Tempest Road, Cemetery Road, Top Moor Side and Domestic Street en route to Headingley.
Over the last seven years Sir Kevin Sinfield has raised over £11 million for a number of charities supporting people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) after his team mate Rob Burrow (who always wore number 7) was diagnosed with the terminal disease.
Sir Kevin Sinfield commented:
“Tragically, since we started these challenges in 2020, more than 15,000 people have died from MND. 15,000 more have been diagnosed. These are shocking numbers, which is why, this year, we’ll run again – in memory of Rob and for everyone affected by this devastating disease. We’ll be going back to where it all began, the Rugby League heartland, starting in Hull on 27 September and ending at the Super League Grand Final in Manchester on Saturday 3 October.”
