South Leeds Links: The Leeds hyperlocal scene

South Leeds Life is just one ‘hyperlocal’ blog in the Leeds blogosphere. Yesterday we featured a festive round-up of local South Leeds blogs and websites – today we look at the blogosphere across the city.

He’s the Zorro of the Leeds blogging world – he’s the Leeds Citizen! Putting the council and local authorities under scrutiny, his secret may be a closely guarded secret, but his blog is simply ace!

The wonderful folks at Beyond Guardian Leeds feature the best of the city’s blogosphere, news and what’s on every day. And a Beeston lad – Mike Wallis – is one of the brains behind it!

Exploring Leeds blog features quirky stories and interesting histories from around the city and is well worth a read.

Interested in culture? The Culture Vulture is a blog compliled by lots of different people (a bit like South Leeds Life!) who are passionate about culture in Leeds and beyond. Matt Edgar is also one of Leeds’ top bloggers, as is Darren Cronian over at My Life in Leeds.

Holt Park Tenants and Residents Association feature news from their part of the city, as does Holt Park Today. North Leeds Life features the latest from North Leeds, while the community of Headingley comes together over at headingley.org.

There are some in Horsforth who feel let down by Leeds, while a guide to the issues and events in Hyde Park and Woodhouse is in this blog. Kirkstall Online is a long-running community site while the campaigning Coven blog puts LS9 in the spotlight.

Bramleydom covers all things Bramle, while the Friends of Bramley Baths are hoping to take over their local pool. Speaking about local issues, the Friends of Kirkgate Market are fighting to preserve Leeds’ market, while No2Incinerator is opposing incinerator plans in East Leeds.

Leeds Daily Photo does what it says on the tin – it provides daily photos and a little story about Leeds life each day!
