Something for everyone at St Luke’s community weekend

There’s lots going on next weekend at St Lukes Church, on Malvern Road, Beeston as they host a big Community Weekend from Friday 18 to Monday 21 May 2018. It’s going to be a busy weekend, with something going for all ages.

On Friday 18 the Community Weekend kicks-off, with a fundraising quiz night hosted by Leeds Space Network. The quiz evening starts at 7.30pm at St Lukes Church. Max 6 people per team, £4 per person (plus £1 if you want to “Play Your Cards Right”.)

On Saturday (19 May) the church opens its doors at 10am for a Christian Aid Coffee Morning, hosted by local majorette troupe the Reetwirlers.

Then at 3:30pm grab some popcorn and settle down with the kids for a free Family Film screening of Zootropolis, brought to you by the Tuesday playgroup St Luke’s Tots, Tea & Toast.

After the 10:30am service on Sunday there’s another of St Lukes’ legendary International Meals, where the multicultural congregation invites you to a bring and share lunch, where you can sample fantastic home-cooking from around the world. Lunch starts at around 12pm. If you still have room in your tummy later, come back at 5pm for an evening of Pizza and Praise!

The Community Weekend is rounded off on Monday (21 May), with a lunch event for the over 60’s, supported by Holbeck Elderly Aid.

St Luke’s Church hopes to welcome the whole South Leeds community to its events, so please share and invite your friends, family, neighbours, colleagues! Visit St Lukes’ Facebook page, and click on the Events page to find out more.
