Slideshow: Hunslet Club’s Messy Mile

It was a messy Sunday down at the Hunslet Club today (23 April 2017) – but all in a good cause.

The challenge was to run a mile around the sports field whilst ‘helpers’ threw powder paint at you. Over sixty young and not so young people took part in the family fun.

Sponsorship was raised to help take groups to dance competitions such as last month’s JAMfest.

Tanya Jarvis was taking part with her three children Kite, Aura and River, whilst Grandma Michele Gray was helping out too. “We enjoyed it last year, so we’re back for more!” she said.

Kayley Davidson, one of the dance tutors said “It’s a brilliant way for everyone to come together from the different groups.”

Merran, one of the organisers commented “It’s about who can get the messiest, the most colourful. It’s great fun!”
