Slung Low and CEG have been collecting stories about Holbeck and will reveal the winning Holbeck Tales at a special event on Wednesday (15 January 2020).
Sally Proctor from Slung Low said:
“Holbeck is full of history and we have been busy gathering stories from the community, of glorious tales of achievement, spectacularly bad choices and unbelievably fortunate ones, tales of extraordinary individuals, tragic tales and farcical ones.”
The celebration of Holbeck’s stories will take place at The Holbeck, the oldest working men’s club in Britain. There will be food provided by the award-winning Manjit’s Kitchen, which will be served at 7pm followed by the awarding of prizes and a performance by singer Gina Pearce.
