Last night we started a new Community Reporters Course.
Over the coming weeks we will teach our students how to write a better news story, how to take a better photograph, the art of headline writing, the use of social media and more. The course is very hands on, so our students will be producing stories every week. And we start as we mean to go on, so that includes week one!
Our students first task was to find out how the Community Reporters website works and write a short piece, either reflecting on the start of the course or introducing themselves as writers in some other way.
Their stories will follow over the next couple of days and they speak for themselves ….
