New Belle Isle florists are flourishing

Three new businesses on the former Shokar Mini Market site on Middleton Road in Belle Isle have opened and can provide for all your wedding needs!

As we reported previously Nicci McCulloch and Kirsty Oxley, the women who left bouquets on remembrance benches in Belle Isle and Hunslet, have extended their venue styling business to include a florist and gift shop.

The Flower Room sells a range of floral arrangements, but can make anything to order. The centrepiece of their beautifully styled window is Percy the lonely penguin. He’s looking for love, but will he find it, Nicci’s advice is to keep watching the window to find out.

Neighbours, Hair Hut, have been in business a year, but have just moved into their new unit and owners Charlotte Wilkinson and Amelia Wray say they love it. Hair Hut offers hair extensions, spay tans, foils, colours and cuts.

Next door again we found Café 277 run by Lucy Fella, who swapped a job as a drugs counsellor to become a caterer. You can get the usual menu of snacks and sandwiches, but Café 277 also do outside catering.

Catering? Hair styling? Flowers? It’s got to add up to the perfect wedding.
