National Volunteers Week at BITMOs GATE

Belle Isle TMO

This week is National Volunteers Week, and we may be bias, but we think we have the BEST volunteers at Belle Isle TMO!

This week we’re celebrating volunteers, and we’ll start the week with Ken, our volunteer Walk Leader.

Ken has led our Walk and Talk Group for over two years, he’s coordinated fundraising events in the GATE for Dementia UK, as well as being our very own photographer and community blogger!

Billy can be found in the GATE cooking up a stir at our Tasty Tuesdays lunch club every week, as well as at our Board meetings volunteering his time to make sure TMO is a well-run organisation.
Thanks for everything you do for us Billy!

Here John’s pictured donating one of his paintings to Councillor Blake in 2016.
Thanks John for all your time and help!

National Volunteers Week runs from 1st to 7th June each year and you can find out more about it here:

Julie has volunteered in the GATE for over three years running her very own Ancestry Group. The group

started off as a two hour session on a Thursday but over the years has grown into a full day each Monday! Julie offers help and advice to those in search of their family history.

Thanks Julie!
