In a milestone development, Rebecca Lawrence has been offered a telephone sales executive position with BE Fuel Cards – which supplies BP fuel cards to UK businesses – just nine weeks into a 12-week bootcamp programme to equip trainees with sales and wider life skills.

The Foundation is investing up to £5,000 to put the recruits, who hail from all walks of life and backgrounds, through the holistic training programme and paying them a salary for its duration.

Successful trainees will be awarded a university recognised qualification from the University of Derby and earn a minimum £16k annual salary with BE Fuel Cards team – with the potential to ramp up their earnings as they progress with the business.

Rebecca said: “I’d like to say thank you to the Bayford Foundation and BE Fuel Cards – they’ve been brilliant and I now realise the huge investment they have made in me, and the other recruits. I’ve learnt all about the company, how they work, their products and people and a lot about myself – it’s been a complete learning curve for me as I’ve never been involved in sales before. I came here to focus and to do the job well – I’m delighted that they have recognised something in me which means I can do that sooner than planned!”

Commented foundation leader June Forsyth: “A big congratulations to Rebecca on her well-deserved achievement. Rebecca reflects the ethos and aims of the Foundation which encourages and motivates recruits to reach their potential and to be the best that they can be. We’re looking forward to Rebecca enjoying a long and successful career with our team and to seeing more of our fantastic recruits progress into the main business.”
