Get confident and connected this spring with Your Space

As we take our first steps towards ending the lockdown, community wellbeing project Your Space are returning to face-to-face work with communities across South Leeds.

Arlie has lots to keep you active, including the Women’s Cycling & Social groups, with the first group running Monday afternoons 4-5.30pm starting 12 April, and a second starting Friday afternoons 4-5.30pm from 16 April, both lasting for 8 weeks. No Bike? No problem. Your Space has bikes and accessories that you are welcome to use at the group.

Women in South Leeds are also welcome to join Arlie’s Women’s Walking Group on Saturday mornings from 11am – a relaxing, sociable group where you can breathe deep, stretch your legs and explore Leeds’ local green spaces. For either of these groups please contact Arlie on 07435 914350 or arlieh@touchstonesupport.org.uk to register.

Starting in mid-April, our Grow Our Own group is a space for people to learn gardening skills and share their expertise, with a focus on growing edible plants such as herbs, fruit and vegetables in Holbeck. Interested? Contact Anne on 07920 461253 or email them at annem@touchstonesupport.org.uk to find out more.

Are you still building up to doing more in-person? Never fear, our online groups continue with Elevate (the group for young women aged 16-25) which starts its second cohort on Thursday 15 April, 4-5.30pm. It’s a space to build self-esteem, set goals and learn healthy coping strategies. Anne’s Be Creative group runs until the end of the month on Zoom, Mondays 7-8.30pm. The group’s motto is that “everyone can be creative!”, so if you’d like to try out some fun creative activities in a supportive environment Be Creative is the group for you.

Our groups are all about building confidence and reconnecting with the community in a safe way – all activities are risk assessed and we’re happy to talk through your access needs. We want to work with people in the community just like you, so if you have a passion you’d like to share with others get in touch!

Your Space provide groups, events and workshops for community wellbeing in Leeds. The project is a partnership between local charities Touchstone, Women’s Health Matters and Holbeck Together, funded by Leeds City Council.
