Free new arts programme for over 50s in Beeston

Next month (September 2018) sees the launch of a new free community programme, for people aged 50+ in south Leeds to have a go at different forms of creative art and music.

All welcome at this new inclusive arts programme

The project – called the ‘Togetherness Project’ – is being run by acclaimed arts charity Purple Patch. It is aimed at older people of all abilities, including people with learning disabilities. It is being held at Hillside Enterprise Centre in Beeston, and will run 2pm-4pm on Fridays, for 30 weeks (term-times only) from 28 September.

Jessica Robinson, who’s leading the project, told us:

“Here at Purple Patch, we’re all about giving people – especially people with learning disabilities – top quality creative learning experiences. Our projects are fun and friendly, they improve confidence and wellbeing, and you meet new people and have a laugh. Spread the word, and join us if you can!”
