Found Fiction storytelling at The Hunslet Club

Calling all young writers! You’re invited to the #foundfiction workshop – an action-packed storytelling event for writing enthusiasts aged 11-16 in South Leeds.

The #foundfiction workshop is hosted by three of the best writers in Leeds and Bradford:

  • Phil Pearce, poet and spoken word performer
  • Kirsty Taylor, teacher and spoken word artist
  • Daniel Ingram-Brown, playwright and children’s book author

Phil, Kirsty and Daniel will be sharing their writing and performing tips – so if you want to be a writer one day, now’s your chance to learn from the very best.

You’ll also get the opportunity to take part in a writing experiment called #foundfiction, which publishes anonymous short stories and leaves them around public spaces in envelopes marked ‘READ ME’.

Put your creative skills to the test by helping design these #foundfiction envelopes and leave them where you think they might be found. You could even get your own story published by #foundfiction if you write the best story of the day.

This free event takes place on Saturday 6 October from 1-6pm at The Hunslet Club. It’s funded by the Inner South Community Committee.

To sign up, email fictionfound@gmail.com or get in touch on the Facebook event page.
